Tips
  • Sign on white paper; the notices reject blurred or miniature signatures.
  • Crop tightly around the signature so it fills the frame.

How to prepare your SSC (CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD) documents

  1. Take a clear photo in good light, or scan the paper (signature, thumb impression, declaration) at 200 DPI if you have a scanner.
  2. Upload it in the matching box below. Rotate and adjust the crop so only the face, signature or impression is inside.
  3. Tap “Make it fit”. We resize to the required pixels and pick the highest quality that fits the KB range.
  4. Check the green ticks, then download each file or all of them as a ZIP and upload them on the official portal.

Frequently asked questions

What is the signature size for SSC (CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD)?

Signature: JPG/JPEG, 6 × 2 cm at 200 DPI, 10–20 KB. Sign on white paper; the notices reject blurred or miniature signatures. Source: SSC CHSL 2026 notice (photograph and signature requirements), last verified 19 Oct 2026.

Do I need to upload a photo for SSC (CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD)?

Photograph (live capture) is captured live with your webcam or phone camera on the official portal, so there is nothing to prepare for it here. Process change: SSC no longer accepts an uploaded photograph. The application module captures a live photo through your webcam or phone camera. Sit in good light against a plain background, camera at eye level, no cap, mask or glasses.

My file is smaller than the minimum KB. What should I do?

Use “Make it fit”. We keep the highest JPEG quality allowed; if the image is still too small (common for simple signatures), we add harmless padding inside the file so it meets the minimum size. The picture itself does not change.

Will the portal accept a photo taken on my phone?

Usually yes, if it is sharp, well lit and on a plain light background. Crop it to the face and shoulders using the box above. Avoid filters, beauty modes and selfies at arm’s length.

Are my photo and documents uploaded to ConvertRight?

No. Everything runs inside your browser. Your files never leave your device, and nothing is stored after you close the page.

How do you know these specs are correct?
