Frequently asked questions
Will the quality drop?
A little, depending on the limit. We use as much of the size as we can, and only lower the resolution when the limit is tight for the video’s length.
Why does it take a while?
Every frame is re-encoded on your device. A minute of HD video usually takes about a minute; nothing is uploaded.
What format do I get?
MP4 (H.264 with AAC sound) in Chrome, Edge and Safari, which plays everywhere. Browsers that can’t make MP4 give WebM.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. ConvertRight runs entirely in your browser. Your file is processed on your own phone or computer and is never sent to a server.
